This guy makes me smile – every, single, time. Armen Adamjan aka Creative_Explained describes himself as sharing ‘hacks/tips/tricks and positivity’. With 1.2M followers on TikTok and 111k on Instagram I’m clearly not the only one that’s fascinated.
Did you know that the hair on your brush can give your houseplants a source of the nitrogen they need? Me neither. That takes ‘recycling‘ to a whole new level!

What a book: ‘Trauma happens TO us, our friends, our families, and our neighbours.’
Bessel says there are 3 avenues to help survivors feel fully alive in the present and to move on with their lives:
1. Talking. Re-connecting with others, allowing ourselves to understand what is going on, while processing memories.
2. Taking meds to shut down alarm reactions, or using technologies to change the way the brain organises information.
3. Allowing the body experiences that contradict the helplessness, rage or collapse that have resulted.
I can relate. I had much ‘righteous anger’ following stage 3 breast cancer. This book suggests places to take that anger to. Moving away from standard talking and drug therapies and towards an alternative approach that heals mind, brain and body.
Lime tree, Linden tree, Tilleul – whatever you wish to call it, we’ve got one in our garden. Its flowers have been used for 100’s of years for: relaxation, calming inflammation, pain relief, as a diuretic, to lower blood pressure, to promote sleep and to comfort a sore stomach.
Powerful, pretty flowers that I’m testing out as soon as they’ve dried. Tea anyone?
Another ‘boring’ vegan lunch. I seem to be ‘free-styling’ more, beginning to have confidence in making a balanced plate to feed the family.
This one was delicious: Roasted red peppers, brown rice, toasted pine-nuts, fresh basil, with a side of home-sprouted alfalfa (get me!) and leaves.
Delicious, filling and ticks all the major food group boxes.
