The very first recipients of The Earthshot Prize: 50 solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems by 2030, were awarded last night. The categories are:
- Protect and Restore Nature
- Clean Our Air
- Revive Our Oceans
- Build a Waste Free World
- Fix Our Climate
And yes, apparently their Royal Highnesses didn’t have new outfits, in keeping with the occasion …
Each of last night’s five winners received £1million prize money and a global network of professional and technical support to scale their solutions to repair our planet and accelerate their impact. You can see more about their projects on our site

Aluminium salts are not just used in antiperspirant deodorants but other cosmetic products such as sunscreen too.

Happy to support your work Naomi
– it’s powerful, informative and encouraging for us all.
Every week I think ‘these will be the last of the season’ and every week…. What a gift.
