Gwyneth Paltrow’s taken a vast amount of criticism for her online brand, birthed from her ‘aha moment’. Which was? Receiving her Oscar? No. It was whilst adding protein powder to her Dad’s IV as he was in treatment for cancer. ‘What’s even in this? Is this the best way to nourish his body?’ And so it began. The brand was named ‘Goop’ as Peter Arnell told her ‘All successful internet companies have Double 0’s in their name’.
You’ll find her discussing her mental health with Dr Mark Hyman in ‘Why Success is not what we think it is’, Episode 182 of Dr Hyman’s The Doctor’s Farmacy podcast.
This ten part program is available FREE of charge from 17 August. I benefited hugely from it’s content in the Summer of 2018 after being told there was no evidence of disease (NED) in my body. Just wish I’d found it in the Autumn of 2017 on diagnosis of Stage 3 HER2+ breast cancer… More from Chris Beat Cancer on our site.
I’m still a major fan of The First Mess, one of my ‘go-to’s’ on our site.
Batch-baked this beaut after one of our daughter’s friends tipped up with a glut of tomatoes from his garden.
3 days later and it was all gone!
Subsequently served with fried mushrooms added then spinach added on the 3rd day. Leftovers… The best.
Practicing sustainability as I go with these glass tubs from Duralex. (Still searching for completely non-plastic options, if anyone has any thoughts).
So: What’s the link between these fruits from my garden in the first pic and my entrance hall in the second?
1. Apples and pears…..
2. Stairs….
