75 Years Young

Meet Dr Rosa Kincaid.
She has just turned 75 years old and has lived a plant-based lifestyle for almost 50 of those years.
Dr Kincaid is a member of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which is featured on our site.
Her profile on PCRM says: ‘The vegan diet has been crucial for her health, vitality, and passion. It enables her to not only be an expert but show what a plant-based diet can do to prevent chronic diseases. She is looking forward to getting the message out to a wider audience.’
Leading by example – Go Dr Rosa!
Exactly this:
Talk is cheap. You gotta walk the walk…
Like Rosa.
Do we have any Great British Bake Off fans reading this?
Some very well known faces here; Two swimmers: Tom Daly the Olympian swimmer and Friends actor David Schwimmer.
There are also a couple of plant-based celebrities; Coleen Nolan (of The Nolan Sisters), who sadly lost one of said sisters to cancer several years ago and Deborah Meaden from the Dragons Den. Be interesting to see how the heavily dairy-based baking show accommodates them.
Times they are a-changing.
I did a double-take whilst walking through a nearby city in the sunshine on Sunday morning after church.
The photograph is of a pharmacy that focuses on ‘natural medicines’, but it was the ‘Your health, our job’ slogan that confused me.
My health is my job, surely?
A nutritionist friend sent me this from Jessie Inchauspé‘s social media this week. Interesting.
Exercise is the 10th feature that Dr Kelly A Turner added as a commonality of the people that have had radical healing in her book Radical Hope (featured on our cancer resource) too.
We’ve got to move people!
Here’s my version of The First Mess’s Sesame Garlic Noodles with Broccoli, Basil and Crispy Tempeh.
It looks nothing like Laura Wright’s beautiful creation, but boy did it taste good.
It was Sunday lunch, Monday lunch and had some red pepper and mushroom added to it for Monday supper too.
A winner. Click here for the recipe, or on the pic.

I’m a sucker for a sale offer, so I brought one home.
Lots of positive reviews on Amazon, so tomorrow I’ll have a bash at making my own plant milk. I spend a fortune on oat/almond/hazelnut/rice milks, not any more!
Let’s see how this goes…
There’s been a whole lot of ‘let’s agree to disagree’ going on for a while now. Whether it’s political, ethical, moral, medical, you name it there’s been division provoked between us all. We need to protect our mental health just as much as our physical, here are some positive guidelines and reminders for us all:
Alzheimer’s is on the march and to think that 4/10 cases could be prevented – wow.
None of this is hard, not really and given what’s at stake?
Dr Hyman features on our site, along with a resource dedicated to Alzheimer’s.
This, on the other hand, is what food photography should look like! Rebel Recipe’s Super Green Pea Mint Soup. It tasted just as this photography indicates it would. Another ‘Soup Maker machine before I run out the door to aerobics’ triumph.
