It’s been a ‘humdinger’ of a year for many. Extreme highs and lows. Whatever it’s brought you, we can all try and End Well.

Let’s End Well with our priorities in order this Christmas. This sentiment is certainly true for us.

More ideas from Becoming Minimalist on our sustainability resource. More clutter doesn’t End Well for our planet.
‘We all have a good reason to eat better’ says the end of this French supermarket ad. Christmas will End Well for the wolf through not eating his new found community of friends! What’s your reason to eat better?

The final event of 2025 did End Well for our non-profit: 350 euros of air-purifying plants sold. All monies will go towards Denise’s air-fare as she heads Stateside in February to speak at the Appleseed Project conference once more.

Programme’s finalised. Denise will be speaking on the power of words in relation to cancer treatment. Science backs that ‘gut feeling’ we have, that ‘butterflies in the stomach’ sensation. They really do have the power to harm, or to heal. Still some conference tickets available, use DOUBLEZERO at check out for a discount.
Speaking of the link between emotional and physical health; here’s Professor Tim Spector with Jake Humphries on a recent High Performance podcast (featured on our Healthy Mind resource).
Professor Spector’s here again, this time endorsing a book we bought and read this week – then promptly added to our nutrition book resource. Rhitrition has been featured on our nutrition website resource for some time now.
Bought this one too. It’ll be our next read. It’s full of more gut health advice from Dr Megan Rossi, who’s featured on our gut health resource for several years.
These are great for your gut too! Hugh’s work is featured on our nutrition book resource.

And smile: We featured some of the finalists of the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards in a recent blog. It Ended Well for Mark Meth-Cohn who was the overall winner with his image of a dancing gorilla ‘High Five.’ It was one of our two favourites too.

If a cancer experience can ever ‘End Well’ it did for TV presenter Julia Bradbury and Denise Stevenson. Both now use their knowledge to help others. Bad things happen; turning that Pain into Purpose is a wonderful thing.
If you want the best odds that your health issue will End Well you cannot ignore the fact that according to a Johns Hopkins study from 2016 medical mistakes are the third leading cause of death in the US, after heart disease and cancer.
No ending here, we’re just getting started on Substack. Month no2 and we’ve now 245 subscribers. Thank you for following our work there. You can subscribe, free or paid, here.

There may be an element of truth in this…

It did End Well though. We’d forgotten how deliciously nutty black rice is! This is a cauliflower dahl that we made up and have absolutely no idea how to replicate… Cauliflower, red lentils, coconut milk, spinach and green peppers were definitely involved. Along with ginger, turmeric and whatever else was to hand.

We’ll leave you with a beautiful sunrise on one of the final days of the year. Whatever’s happened, whatever’s to come, here’s your encouragement that as our world keeps turning nature chooses to End Well.
