Why do people fail to change? 

As one of the comments on this YouTube video shares:  ‘The battle hasn’t been not knowing what to do to improve myself it’s been not knowing WHY I refuse to do it.’

Fascinating.  Shahroo Izadi knows her stuff.  She’s a behavioural change specialist and psychologist.  She believes that behaviour change becomes so much easier when we learn to support, value and champion ourselves.  

Makes sense.  Last week we led our blog with a quote from Steven Bartlett.  Here he is once more, interviewing  Shahroo on his Diary of a CEO podcast.

Brightly coloured sweets

“We found that specific nanoparticles — titanium dioxide and silicon dioxide — ordinarily used in food may negatively affect intestinal functionality,” senior author Elad Tako, who is also an associate professor of food science at Cornell, said in a statement. “They have a negative effect on key digestive and absorptive proteins.”

Let’s get them out of our diets and get back to whole foods.

It’s from Rebel Recipes (again): Spicy Butternut Squash and Coconut Soup.  

Think it was the tamari, the peanut butter and the nooch (nutritional yeast), that made it so tasty.  We didn’t use the maple syrup that was an optional in the recipe, the flavours were SO good without ‘needing’ the sweetness.
