Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Always loved that Bowie song (way before Shrek and Princess Fiona brought it to the next generation). One thing that doesn’t change is that there are always changes. There are a LOT of them planned and already happening in the health and environment sectors.

One of them was announced by Arla Foods UK last week: the introduction on some of their farms of a feed additive that has been shown to reduce methane emissions in cows. The use of Bovaer™ has caused a Press and social media frenzy.

Here are the Arla UK brands: Arla Protein, Arla Cravendale, Arla B.O.B., Arla Lactofree, Arla Skyr, Arla Apetina, Arla Barista, Arla Jord, Arla Big Milk.

Here is the product’s safety data sheet (Oct 24).

Here is the UK Soil Association‘s response:

You decide.

Changes afoot in the oncology field in France too with the creation of the first Integrative Oncology Association. Based in Paris there are currently 35 health professionals that make up the SFOI. They describe themselves as: ‘combining conventional cancer treatments with complementary methods to provide comprehensive care centred on the patient and his or her life project.’ Positive change.

This one needs to change: Dr Thomas Seyfried is a Professor of biology, genetics, and biochemistry at Boston College. He has 150+ peer-reviewed publications and is the author of: ‘Cancer as a Metabolic Disease’. He knows very well that sugar isn’t inherently cancer-causing, but he also knows that it can be a factor in inflaming our bodies, which IS a factor for cancer risk.

Matt Hancock (former UK cabinet minister) would do well to change labelling comments made by Dr Zoe Harcombe and Dr Malcolm Kendrick as ‘Pernicious lies’.

The Mail on Sunday’s headline in March 2019 described: the ‘deadly propaganda of the statin deniers’.

It’s taken over 4 years for an apology and payment of damages and costs from the newspaper, as reported by Carter-Ruck. This needs to change.

Would you consider giving the Gift of Health this Christmas?

Thank you.

Women go through a huge number of changes during their lifetimes. If the average life expectancy of a woman is 84 years (in US in 2018), 40% of that life will be lived after menopause – a massive change. Here’s Cynthia Thurlow whose work has been added to our Womens Health resource this week. And back we circle to seed oils, again… No change there!

Speaking of seed oils, here’s Dr Cate Shanahan liking one of our Insta posts this week. Her book Dark Calories advocates for change on the subject… and fast.

Another change this week: Patty pan squash. Very aesthetically pleasing and very tasty!

The inimitable Mr Robbie Williams is a maestro of change. Here he is at the premier of his new film Better Man. He asked for ‘a round of applause for Big Pharma’ as he disclosed he credits Ozempic for his ‘better’ weight loss, HGH (human growth hormone) and testosterone for, well that’s his business, Prozac for ‘bettering’ his anxiety and Propecia, a hair loss drug for his ‘better’ head of hair.

We’ve still not done any advertising for our site, need to change that in the New Year! Glad you found us Jo, here’s a delicious vegan recipe for you that we tried this week:

Rebel Recipe’s Pesto Risotto with Roast Tomatoes. Nothing to change as far as we were concerned when we made it this week!

One to copy and paste – we’re not going to be changing this anytime soon.

Christmas Flowers – from our garden. A beautiful change.

Denise Stevenson founded the health and wellness charity Double-zero.org in 2021 after healing from stage 3 breast cancer at (5-zero) and realising there was no one source to access the wealth of resources that had guided her back to health without the mastectomy her oncologist said was a certainty. Denise is a church founder and president, author and local councillor. She's English-born and has French nationality after living there with her husband and 3 girls for the past 20 years.
