What Really Matters

Those 3 words can be a statement or a question.

Do you know what really matters to you? What really matters is that you find out.

Only then can you focus on working towards what will bring you joy, peace and purpose.

Here’s Simon Alexander Ong, author of the bestselling book Energize, with his recent viral YouTube video:

What really matters to this man?

What really matters to this man has just been recognised with the award of an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire). Robin Daly MBE founded the only integrative cancer care charity in the UK 20 years ago. His passion and advocacy for transforming cancer care have now been recognised by the UK government. A humble man his thoughts on receiving the award are beautiful.

Here’s what really matters to this man: ‘More and more people facing cancer are realising that they can get on a lot better if they get informed, take charge of their own treatment choices and embrace the broadest view of what might be required to maximise their health and wellbeing.’

What really mattered to this man?

‘A centenarian, a man of faith, a humanitarian human being, a Nobel prize winner, a happily married for 77 yrs …such a legacy with grace and ethics……may he rest in Peace 🙏….what an incredible life’ was one of the Instagram posts following the announcement of the death of Jimmy Carter, the 39th and longest living President of the US.

This is what mattered to this man:

What really matters to this man? Well, we watched this new documentary this week. The jury’s out on this one!

We are 100% sure what really matters to this man.

Dr Greger has been and continues to be an inspiration to us here at DZ. His site is ‘a public service for those hungry for evidence-based nutrition‘ and remains one of the few in the complimentary medicine space that is held in universal regard. It’s been featured on our resource since day one and remains a solid source of information and guidance on all things health.

We have pledged to follow Dr Greger’s ethos and like him rely on donations to continue our work.

‘The destruction of nature is harming us all’ is the title of a passionate article from this man. William Hague writes in the UK’s Times newspaper about something that should really matter to us all. ‘Studies show benefits of the natural world to our health, happiness and very survival yet the devastation continues’.

This really matters to us all too:

‘Non communicable diseases (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, etc) are the leading causes of premature death and disability worldwide. In 2021 it is estimated that they were responsible for the death of 17.3M people and nearly 80% of all years lived with disability before the age of 70.’

This really matters too:

Vitamin D is well researched and is shown to have benefits for our immune system. It’s cheap and effective.

It really matters that we go beyond the headlines too.

Attached is a peer-reviewed article from the US National Library of Medicine showing precisely why we NEED to sunbathe (not sunburn).

Getting my vitamin D on the slopes.

Time out to relax in nature really matters.

We all know this really matters.

1000’s of plant-based recipes on our resource.

This really matters too:

Denise Stevenson founded the health and wellness charity Double-zero.org in 2021 after healing from stage 3 breast cancer at (5-zero) and realising there was no one source to access the wealth of resources that had guided her back to health without the mastectomy her oncologist said was a certainty. Denise is a church founder and president, author and local councillor. She's English-born and has French nationality after living there with her husband and 3 girls for the past 20 years.
