Da da daaaaaaa. Found at the scene of the crime: the ‘previous’ owner of this knife has been stealing our mushrooms! Whoever they are dropped it in our wood this morning. Time to go on the offensive (and get up even earlier than they did the morning after it’s rained.)
Here’s my ‘kit’. Sadly didn’t need the large basket today…
This was last week’s haul of girolles. A delicious fresh organic mushroom and tagliatelle lunch:
- Wash the mushrooms and cut into quarters.
- Add to a hot pan. Drain off the liquid.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, add quality salt (Celtic/Himalayan).
- Mix into the cooked tagliatelle with some extra virgin olive oil and enjoy every healthy mouthful!
Both mums at the restaurant table were busy taking pics of this starter on Monday evening. We’d never seen broccoli presented in this way before and yes, it tasted just as good as it looked. I know what you’re thinking, but it really did!
Flax & Kale, Barcelona. Delicious. Great choice Ana!
‘Coffee, eggs and white rice linked to higher levels of PFAS in human body’ was the headline of an article in the UK’s Guardian newspaper earlier this month. (PFA’s are those ‘forever chemicals’ that hang around, yep, forever.).
The article suggests that due to pollution it’s inevitable we ingest these chemicals, they’re now everywhere: air, water, soil, so of course, they contaminate our food.
Time for change – as we just keep saying and will continue to do so.
Met the Bold Bean-ers last night. This 2021 start up is on a mission to make us ‘bean obsessed’.
I’ll report back on these gems on our next blog.
Not quite sure which of their site’s recipes to use them in…
The Daily Mail Online newspaper in the UK lit the touch paper last week and another article today ignites a very scary fire. Many women are now usually menstrual cups and pads to avoid any potential risks. Be aware, stay informed and please manufacturers it really is – Time for change.
Castelldefels beach, near Barcelona this week. Giving it our best shot at attaining our sunlight quota. Tough job, but someone’s got to do it. Thank you Dr Connealy for this sage advice:
More from Dr Connealy can be found on our cancer resource.
Well, well, well. When we started this resource the term ‘plant-based’ didn’t even feature on Twitter (X, sorry, I know it’s X, but old habits and all that). Look at what was trending last week.
Times it seems ARE changing.
Where are we? If you read above you’ll know exactly where in the world I and my youngest daughter are enjoying an iced coffee.
It was a delicious treat after a busy day. With oat milk now readily available there it was a healthy (well apart from any PFA’s, again, see above) option.
A delicious, foodie trip to settle in Barcelona’s new intern. Job done. Happy Mumma.
